Information We Collect

When you reach out to SkyGuard Restoration through our website, we collect the information you choose to provide, typically your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of the damage you’re dealing with. If you submit a contact form or request an estimate, that information comes directly from you.

We also use basic analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site, things like which pages are viewed and general geographic location based on IP address. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule an estimate or inspection, and coordinate the services you’ve requested. If your loss involves an insurance claim, we may use your information to prepare documentation such as photos, scope notes, or invoices that support that claim.

We do not use your contact information for purposes beyond what you’d reasonably expect from a restoration contractor you’ve reached out to.

SkyGuard Restoration does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only when necessary to perform the work you’ve requested, for example, sending documentation to your insurance carrier or adjuster, but only with your authorization. We may also share information with subcontractors or specialists directly involved in your project.

We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

Text Messaging and Mobile Information

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, SkyGuard Restoration may text you about your service request or project: appointment scheduling and reminders, technician arrival times, job updates, follow-ups after the job, and a request to review our work. Mobile information is never shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties. SkyGuard Restoration collects your mobile number and your text opt-in consent (including when and how you gave it) only to send the messages you agreed to receive and to honor opt-out requests.

Data Retention

We retain project-related information, including contact details and job documentation, for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the work, support any related insurance claim, and meet recordkeeping obligations under North Carolina law. Analytics data collected through the website is retained only in aggregate form.

Your Rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we’ve collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We don’t sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that regard.

SkyGuard Restoration operates exclusively within North Carolina, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) generally does not apply to our services. That said, if you believe GDPR rights apply to you, you’re welcome to contact us with any request and we’ll address it in good faith.

Regardless of where you live, you may contact us at any time to ask what information we have on file, request a correction, or ask that we delete information we no longer need for an active project or legal obligation.
